Accreditation

Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR) are released each December and detail student performance by campus and district, disaggregated by student groups. The reports also include data on staff, programs, and demographics across Texas schools.

District accreditation status for the 2023-2024 school year is "Accredited." Status for the 2024-2025 school year has not been released.

TEC, §11.253, requires each campus to have an improvement plan with performance objectives and to measure progress toward meeting these objectives. Both the objectives of each campus and each campus’ progress toward meeting those objectives must be included in the district’s annual report.

2024-2025

OS/SPED: Needs Assistance

The annual report must include information about violent or criminal incidents that occur on each campus. Each district determines the format of its report but must include the following:

• The number, rate, and type of violent or criminal incidents that occurred on each campus, to the extent permitted under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act

• Descriptions of school violence prevention and violence intervention policies and procedures used to protect students

• Findings from evaluations conducted under the Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act

Texas statute requires every school district to include, with their performance report, information received under Texas Education Code §51.403(e). This information, provided to districts from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB), reports on student performance in postsecondary institutions during the first year enrolled after graduation from high school.

Student performance is measured by the Grade Point Average (GPA) earned by high school graduates who attended Texas public four-year and two-year higher education institutions in the following academic year. Click here to search a district.

Section 39.306(a)(8) requires the annual report include the progress of the district and each campus in the district toward meeting the goals set in the district's:

(A) early childhood literacy and mathematics proficiency plans adopted under Section 11.185; and

(B) college, career, and military readiness plans adopted under Section 11.186.

District HB 3 Goals 2026-2030

The Federal Report Cards for Texas Public Schools provide detailed information on various aspects of school performance and accountability, as required under federal law. These reports, released annually in December, include comprehensive data on student achievement, teacher quality, graduation rates, and other key indicators that impact educational outcomes. 

The Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), as amended, requires a state to prepare and disseminate widely to the public an annual Report Card for all public‐school districts, campuses, and the state. The Federal Report Card for Texas Public Schools is a web‐based system that generates the required federal report cards at the state, district, and campus levels for easy dissemination by school districts.

2023‐24 Federal Report Card Definitions for Texas Public Schools

Statute requires that each district’s board of trustees hold a public hearing to discuss the district’s annual report within 90 calendar days of receiving the annual Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR).

The Castleberry Independent School District School Board will hold a hearing for public discussion of the TAPR in a Special Meeting open to the public at 6 PM on Monday, January 12, 2026. This will take place in the Castleberry ISD Board Room located at 5228 Ohio Garden Road, Fort Worth, TX 76114.

The meeting agenda will be available three business days prior to the scheduled hearing in BoardBook. 

The Texas School Report Card (SRC) combines accountability ratings, data from the Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR), and financial information to give a broad view of campus performance. Available for each campus in Texas, the SRC is intended specifically to inform parents and guardians about a school’s individual characteristics and its academic performance.

• 2025 Federal Report Card Definitions for Texas Public Schools

The Texas Education Agency provides an annual accountability rating to public school districts, charters, and individual campuses in Texas based on their academic performance. The ratings are based largely on performance on state standardized tests and graduation rates. The ratings examine student achievement, student progress, and efforts to close the achievement gap.
